Skyro, a digital-first consumer finance group operating in the Philippines, has been named a finalist in two categories at the Asia FinTech Awards 2026: FinTech of the Year and LendTech of the Year.
The recognition was announced at the Asia FinTech Awards ceremony held on August 21 in Singapore, bringing together companies and industry leaders shaping the region’s financial technology landscape.
Skyro’s recognition reflects its continued focus on developing lending products designed around customers’ evolving financial needs. Among these is Flexi, a feature that lets customers adjust their loan entirely within the app — moving a due date, lowering a monthly payment when money is tight, or paying more to finish the loan faster, all in just a few taps and available instantly, anytime.
Where other lenders still require customers to contact support to make such changes, Skyro built the control directly into the product: 31% of eligible users activate Flexi, more than 42,000 adjustments are made every month, and around 130,000 customers have already used it to make at least one change — 87% rating the experience positively. Because customers can align payments with when income actually arrives, Flexi helps them stay on track and protect their credit standing, while delivering higher retention and stronger portfolio performance for the business.
For Skyro co-founders Nasim Aliev and Arsen Liametov, the recognition marks an important milestone as the company continues to develop financial products designed around the needs of Filipino consumers.

“Being recognized by the Asia FinTech Awards reflects the impact of our efforts to create more flexible and customer-focused lending solutions,” said Aliev. “For us, innovation starts with understanding how people actually manage their finances and building products that can respond to those realities. This recognition encourages us to continue making financial services more accessible, flexible, and relevant to Filipinos.”
Liametov said the recognition also reinforces Skyro’s focus on raising the standard for digital lending.
“As financial needs and customer expectations continue to evolve, lenders have to evolve with them,” said Liametov. “We remain focused on developing products and technology that give customers greater control, improve their experience, and expand access to responsible financial services. Being named a finalist in two categories motivates our team to continue pushing that work forward.”
To date, Skyro has disbursed a total of ₱38 billion in loans, issued more than 2.7 million loans, and reached more than 7 million mobile app users. The figures reflect growing demand for accessible and flexible financial solutions in the Philippines and Skyro’s continued expansion in the market.
