Role Overview
The Business Development Manager – Data is responsible for identifying, structuring, and scaling data-driven partnerships that fuel customer acquisition, revenue growth, and product innovation. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, data collaboration, and execution, working closely with external partners and internal teams to unlock value from data, distribution, and embedded finance opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and support the end-to-end lifecycle of data-driven business development initiatives in the Philippines, from partner sourcing and commercial execution to operational coordination.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop partnerships with organizations that have large customer bases and strong digital touchpoints capable of generating high-quality loan traffic across fintech, e-commerce, digital platforms, and other consumer-facing businesses.
• Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, including partnership structures, pricing, and revenue models, to support growth of Skyro’s cash loan business.
• Collaborate with partners to design and launch integrated products, embedded finance journeys, and distribution models that expand reach, engagement, and conversion.
• Manage partnership operations and documentation, including NDAs, data-sharing agreements, renewals, and renegotiations.
• Coordinate ongoing partner communication, follow-ups, and status tracking to ensure timely execution and alignment.
• Facilitate data collaboration by coordinating data sample exchanges, backtesting, and validation with internal risk, product, and data science teams.
• Ensure strong internal alignment and delivery discipline by working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to move partnerships efficiently from concept to launch.
• Contribute directly to customer acquisition, revenue growth, and the scalability of Skyro’s data and distribution ecosystem through structured execution and relationship-driven growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
• 1–3 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales operations, growth, fintech operations, analytics, or consulting. High-potential fresh graduates with strong internship experience in fintech, lending, telco, e-commerce, or startups are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in fintech and digital lending in the Philippine market, with a genuine desire to learn commercial deal-making, data-driven use cases, and partner growth strategies.
• Foundational understanding of the Philippine digital ecosystem, including:
o E-wallets, super apps, and online marketplaces
o BNPL, cash loan, and digital credit products
o Lead-generation versus embedded finance models
• Comfortable handling operational and documentation workflows, such as:
o NDAs, basic contracts, trackers, and renewal processes
o Partner follow-ups and status updates
o Coordinating with internal teams for data samples and pilot programs
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to:
o Support basic backtesting and pilot performance analysis
o Build simple ROI models and performance summaries
o Interpret funnel metrics and assess traffic quality at a practical level
• Tech- and data-curious, with working knowledge of spreadsheets, dashboards, and basic data tools (Excel/Google Sheets required; SQL or Python is a plus but not mandatory).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Filipino proficiency is a plus for local partner engagement.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Based in Metro Manila or willing to work onsite or in a hybrid setup, with openness to frequent interaction with partners and internal stakeholders.
