Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced trading professional to join our Execution Trading Desk in Manila. In this role, you will serve as the primary link between our clients (various types of individuals and corporate clients) and the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), International and OTC markets.
You will be responsible for the seamless execution of buy/sell orders for securities, optimizing transaction costs, and strictly adhering to the requirements of the Securities Regulation Code (RA 8799). This position focuses mainly on the technical side of trade execution, risk management, and ensuring "Best Execution" practice.
Order Execution & Trade Management:
Receive and execute client orders for equities, bonds, ETFs, and other securities traded on the PSE and OTC markets using broker trading terminals (e.g., Bloomberg, PSEtrade, or proprietary platforms).
Manage the execution of margin trading deals, REPO deals, OTC deals. Using algorithms and strategies to minimize market impact through VWAP, TWAP, Iceberg orders and smart order routing.
Searching for liquidity, opening trading limits and lines with other brokers-dealers companies.
Ensure compliance with the market practice and trading rules, financial instrument specifications.
Dialer System Oversight
Manage and monitor the PDS Dialer system to ensure smooth call flow.
Check Lost Call % and take corrective actions to minimize call failures.
Monitor agent statuses (like, ACW/Post-processing, Idle time) and intervene when necessary to maintain productivity.
Operational Support & Post-Trade:
Monitor the trade lifecycle until confirmation, liaising with the back office and the clearing house (SCCP).
Ensure adherence to the settlement cycle and monitor pre-funded account requirements for online clients.
Investigate and resolve order errors, allocation discrepancies, or confirmation failures.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Monitor position limits and ensure sufficient collateral for margin clients. Margin-calls tracking.
Strictly follow SEC Philippines regulations: verification of "Registered Salesman" status, KYC and AML procedures, inhouse rules and etc. Operate within the "Chinese Wall" policy, avoiding insider information breaches and market manipulation.
Market Intelligence:
Know the peculiarities of local and international markets, including OTC: what and when is trading, settlements’ features and transaction costs, taxes and duties, restrictions.
Provide clients with quality insights regarding market depth, spreads, and liquidity of specific local and international financial instruments.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
Mandatory: Active SEC Salesman License (or willingness to pass the SEC Philippines exam during the probationary period).
Certification/courses on the Philippine Securities Regulation Code and PSE Academy are a plus.
Experience & Technical Skills:
2 to 4 years of experience on a Brokerage desk, proprietary trading desk, or asset management desk in the Philippines.
Deep knowledge of PSE|PDEx trading mechanics, OTC trading rules and procedures.
Understanding of the local fee structure (Broker's Commission, SCCP and PSE fees) and taxes (STT, CGT, DST, VAT).
Proficiency with trading platforms: Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters Eikon, or local systems.
Knowledge of crypto market and crypto assets trading are a plus.
Advanced Excel skills (macros, formulas).
Quality & Compliance
Conduct regular coaching sessions and ensure at least 60% improvement among previously non-compliant agents.
Validate argument compliance (>85%) and effective arguments (>90%) based on QC standards.
Investigate and escalate any fraud triggers such as call manipulation or misreporting.
