Key Responsibilities
Leads, supervises, and develops the Business Development Regional Officers (BDRO) to ensure the effective execution of sales and account management strategies, while achieving individual and team performance targets.
Manages and grows a portfolio of merchant accounts by building strong, long-term business relationships, understanding merchant needs, and delivering solutions that enhance merchant satisfaction and business performance.
Takes ownership of merchant portfolio growth by driving merchant acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue expansion to achieve or exceed assigned business targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Develops and implements territory-specific growth strategies, promotional campaigns, and merchant engagement programs that increase transaction volume, improve merchant productivity, and expand market presence.
Monitors merchant performance, sales trends, and competitive market activities to identify business opportunities, address challenges, and recommend strategies to immediate superior for continuous growth.
Collaborates with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales Operations, Product, and Support, under the guidance of the Business Development Manager to ensure the successful execution of campaigns, merchant programs, and business initiatives.
Conducts regular business reviews with key merchants to evaluate performance, identifies opportunities for growth, and strengthens long-term partnerships.
Analyzes sales performance and merchant data to prepare reports, forecasts, and recommendations that support business planning and decision-making.
Ensures compliance with company policies, operational standards, and service level agreements while maintaining a high level of merchant satisfaction.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge
Strong understanding of account management, sales processes, and business development principles.
Knowledge of merchant acquisition, portfolio management, and customer relationship management (CRM) practices.
Familiarity with market analysis, territory management, and performance reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Finance, or a related field.
A postgraduate degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in account management, business development, sales, or merchant relationship management.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Experience in the fintech, payments, banking, e-commerce, retail, or FMCG industry is preferred.
Proven track record of achieving sales, revenue, or merchant growth targets.
